The periodical assessment of the marine environment is one of Member States’ obligations under the Marine Strategy Framework Directive. Based on that, the Chief Inspector for Environmental Protection worked out the „Initial assessment of the Polish marine waters” in 2012.

In addition, for the purposes of national ongoing assessments of the state of the environment, the Chief Inspector for Environmental Protection performs annual assessments of the state of the marine environment. The present assessment is „Assessment of the state of the aviation environment of the Baltic Commission document based on monitoring data from 2016 against the background of the decade 2006-2015”.
