According to the art. 151(1) of the Polish Water Law, the Chief Inspector for Environment Protection worked out an initial assessment of the Polish marine waters in 2012. The initial assessment covers period 2005-2010. It consist of an assessment of 11 state descriptors of the good environment (art. 153(1)), pressure analysis (art. 150(1) and 150(2)) and economic-social analysis (150(3)). The assessment of the Polish marine waters was adopted by Council of Ministers in 2014.
